リコーとリコージャパンは、360度カメラで撮影した映像から、欠損の少ない高精細な3Dモデルを生成する技術を東京電力パワーグリッドの建物保全業務に導入し、運用を開始した。独自の位置推定技術とAIを組み合わせ、画像上の特徴が少ない壁面や床面などの形状も補完する。高精細な3Dモデルを半日程度で生成できるという。
